Omotola and Jim: On the same path
Nollywood is here to stay and getting the recognition it deserves globally. From awards to new contracts and endorsement deals, the benefits for actors are beyond bounds and will continue to be there so as long as there are new and quality movie productions regularly.
In recognition of the industry, Time Magazine for the first chose one of our own; Omotola Jalade as one of it’s 100 most influential people in the world. It afforded her opportunity to wine and dine with top leaders of different fields within the entertainment and media landscape.
Thereafter, she flew to Hollywood California where she had been signed as part of the cast for an upcoming TV Show to possibly be shown on BET this fall season. That’s huge for Omotola because the instant recognition she will get for mainstream American market coupled with the attendant financial rewards are immeasurable.
On the back of that success, it has trail blazed a path for others to follow and the immediate beneficiary is Jim Iyke who has inked a deal for a movie production with Leila Djansi in Santa Monica, California.
